Primary Sources in the Library: Where Local and National Resources Intersect

Bringing primary sources into library learning and teacher collaborations can feel overwhelming, time consuming, and intimidating. But the benefits can be huge. This session will explore accessible entry points to bringing primary sources into the school library with a dual focus on finding primary sources on a national and local level as well as guiding students in interacting with these sources through an inquiry model. Participants will leave with the knowledge of where to find digital and in-person holdings, searching tips, and how these treasures can benefit your teaching and students’ learning.
